Tom’s Town Distilling Co. Launches Truman Special Reserve Bourbon in Honor of the 75th Anniversary of Harry Truman’s Presidency
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (June 24, 2020) - Tom’s Town Distilling Co. is thrilled to announce the launch of Truman Special Reserve Bourbon just in time for the July 4 holiday. This special bourbon was produced to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Harry Truman’s Presidency, which began after Roosevelt’s death in 1945.
Truman Special Reserve is a Tennessee bourbon that Tom’s Town has been aging at its distillery in the Crossroads for several years. “When we had the opportunity to acquire this special bourbon three years ago, we jumped on it,” said David Epstein, Tom’s Town Owner and Co-Founder. “We knew it would only get better with age. We’ve been partners of the Truman Library since we opened the doors in 2016, so it made perfect sense to release this during the 75th anniversary of Truman’s presidency.”
Tom’s Town only produced 900 bottles of this limited release, 11-year-old commemorative bourbon. A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to support the renovation taking place at the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum.

Truman Special Reserve Bourbon is a truly special spirit that boasts mellow caramel notes and a smooth smokiness. The bourbon will be for sale exclusively at Tom’s Town at 1701 Main Street, and sales will begin online at noon on Wednesday, July 1. Bottles are priced at $75 each.
